Erin Janda is a writer, content creator, and visual storyteller who resides in County Wexford, Ireland. As an Irish-American citizen, she moved to the Emerald Isle with her Wife and their furbabies in January 2026.
In the Spring of 2008, she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Georgia. She launched her YouTube channel — Erin Janda Creative — in December 2023. Her videos center around books, writing, nature, plant-based cooking, and cozy cottage living. Video making and photography are forms of storytelling that Erin thoroughly enjoys in addition to her writing.
She adores fantasy stories, especially Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll, which is her all-time favorite book. She is also an avid reader of classic literature, speculative fiction, and queer literature written by LGBTQIA+ authors.
On a more personal note
I’ve always had a massive imagination. As a child, when asked “what I wanted to be when I grew up,” I often replied with “storyteller.” My curiosity, imagination, and love of stories has only grown with time. As human beings, I believe that we need stories to thrive. Stories allow us to remember our histories, connect with others, and see ourselves through characters. They also help us to process difficult emotions, grow compassion, and find courage. Stories can offer a refuge or escape; they can transport us to other times or worlds. Stories, in my humble opinion, are real-life magic.
